Chem-Crete University

Principle

Chem-Crete waterproofing and sealing technology of concrete is based on a proven chemistry of combined pore-blocking crystals and pore-lining molecular integrated layer. The chemistry of the technology utilizes triple functionalities of hygroscopic (vapor adsorbing), hydrophilic (liquid absorbing) and hydrophobic (water-repelling) characteristics.

This leads to restricting permeation flow (under hydrostatic pressure) and reducing capillary absorption by wicking flow (with no or minimal pressure). This performance is reflected in all durability parameters.

The basics of this technology are described in two principal articles while the meanings or brief descriptions of the related vocabularies is briefly listed in a separate document that assist the starting engineering in understanding the Terminology.
